Kevin R. Smith is chief executive officer of Sirtex. Under his leadership, the company is focused on maximizing value through a patient-first focus.
Prior to being named CEO in October 2019, Kevin held several leadership positions in the medical device industry. At Sirtex, he served as executive vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. In this role, he transformed the company’s approach to business development, implemented impactful commercial strategies for sustained and profitable growth, and led our expansion into Latin America.
Before joining Sirtex in 2017, Kevin was executive vice president of business development for Gel-e, Inc., a startup based at the University of Maryland that specializes in advanced material hemostasis products. Kevin also served as chief commercial officer of Sensium Healthcare and global vice president of sales and marketing for Teleflex, where he was the senior sales and marketing executive in the company's $85 million cardiac business unit.
Kevin earned an MBA in global management from the University of Phoenix and holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Kentucky.
